Cincinnati, OH

Teams: Cincinnati Reds (NL 1880, AA 1882-1883), Cincinnati Outlaw Reds (UA 1884) Opening Day: May 1, 1880
Closing Day: October 15, 1884

Memorable Moments:

The Cincinnati Reds of the National League moved here in 1880, but were kicked out of the League for selling beer in the park and playing baseball on Sunday. The Reds later joined up in with the American Association in 1882. In 1884 the lease on this park was granted to the Union Association Outlaw Reds. The Reds employed the scorched earth theory and took everything they could with them, including the stone home plate.
