Victory Field

Watertown, MA

Team: Watertown Townies Design: Curtis W. Bixby
Construction: George C. Irwin (Boston) Capacity: 1,100
Cost: $75,000

This field, dedicated to the Veterans of World War I, consists of both a baseball diamond and football field. Part of the football field extends into the outfield, but since the park is kind of "L" shaped, neither field is compromised. The Watertown Sun says that the ballpark compares "well in size with a major league park".
