From the Boston Globe, August 12, 1892:
"A tower 57 feet high is situated near the entrance for observation. A large dancing-pavilion, supplied with a permanent orchestra, a dancing-hall, merry-go-round and band stand
are included.
The grounds have been laid out in handsome walks and drives, and rustic bridges and rockeries are scattered over the park. Tennis courts have been constructed, gardens laid out,
and the whole seven acres beautified."
