1952 - 1957?

I am fully aware that the first year that the Pacific Coast League was in existence was 1903 and not 1952. However, in 1952, the ranking of the League was changed from AAA to "Open". This made it not quite a minor league but not quite a major league either. This was done to assist the League in joining the major leagues. However, when club owners decided they could make more money by moving their teams to popular west coast minor league cities, they did that instead of helping the Pacific Coast League. As a result, when the Giants and Dodgers moved to San Francisco and Los Angeles, respectively, in 1958, the Pacific Coast League was changed back to an AAA league.
