The Cleveland team moved here, instead of their new $3 million Municipal Stadium, because it was in walking distance of 15,000 black fans and accessible by three of the city's main street car routes. Also, John Carroll University moved their football games to Municipal Stadium and gave the owners a long option on the Luna Bowl.
