This park was host to the fitst Major League Ladies Day in 1876. You could purchase hard-boiled eggs, ham sandwiches, mineral water. Lemon peel and water drinks were 10 cents a glass, which was also the price for admission after the fifth inning. Before that you had to pay 50 cents. There was a section called "Little Dukes" for those who wanted to sit near the bar.
