The Protectory was a Catholic home for boys in poverty. This park was tiny and had no dirt on the infield. It was so small, that the only person to ever hit a triple in it was "Cool Papa" Bell, and people complained he missed second. This park was leveled in 1939 to make room for the Parkchester Apartments.
