Star Park (II)

Syracuse, NY

Team: Syracuse Stars Year Built: 1886
Major League Dates: April 28, 1890 - October 6, 1890

During a three game series with the Stars at Syracuse, the Louisville Colonels had some bad luck. They forfeited their first game because it was on a Sunday and Sunday baseball in Syracuse, at the time, was illegal. That night it rained, a lot, so during Monday afternoon the mud was so deep it sometimes covered the player's shoes. The Tuesday game was shaping up to be better until the bleachers colapsed and injured 20 fans. What a miserable series.
