Metropolitan Park

New York (Manhattan), NY

Team: New York Metropolitans Opening Day: May 13, 1884
Closing Day: August 23, 1884

Memorable Moments:

The Metropolitans played here for just a short period of time. This is probably because the numerous factories located on the East River made the air dangerous for fans. This was a small park, and high winds caused a lot of homers. On July 17, the Mets moved to the Polo Grounds I, and only went back to this park when the Giants were scheduled at the Polo Grounds.
